Like Batman, but with a T.

Even though my last name is only two syllables - people have some serious issues pronouncing it - so remember it is spelled and pronounced like “Batman,” but with a T.

Tatman.

And Jackson if you’re nasty.

What’s this blog really for anyways? #

Let’s start with the definition of a blog:

blog #

/bläɡ/

noun

  1. a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.

verb

  1. to add new material to or regularly update a blog.

Soo, in a nutshell I guess I’d like to use this as a platform to express my thoughts and feelings out about the current state of the world, to provide updates on my business ventures, and to show a little bit about my personal life - likely though photography.

Why should you give a shit?
Because, life is wabi-sabi.

I’ve endured a lot of adversity to get myself ingrained into some of the toughest industries in the nation, and I managed to come out alive. I might have a few opinions on certain subjects like technology, politics and society. I’ve got a unique CV and I’ve learned from some of the best in their respective fields. I strive to become a master student in life by working with people who are smarter than me. Maybe I can pass along some of the insight I’ve picked up and, with some luck, even inspire someone to go after their dream. That would probably be the coolest, tbh.

First and Doin-it-for-the-Most #

Sacramento. #

The 916, Cap-City, Sacratomatoes.
Just another cow-town, right?

I think not. This city we call home is rich with untapped artistic, technological, and entrepreneurial talent that is ripe for the picking. What gets me up in the morning is the hope that I can help these dreamers realize their ideas.

Sacramento is a community unlike any other. Not only are we a cultural melting-pot, but we are in a hotspot in the global political arena. With it’s local and national influence, Sacramento already has good reason to attract incredible talent from around the country. What seems to has happened, however, is that the growth of our city is too quick for existing businesses - still catching up with the times. We, as a community, have a responsibility to empower the people of our city to thrive.

To me, that means equal opportunity, industry standard salaries that parallel local real estate prices, world-class wellness programs, and transparent business practices. What I wish to provide is a stable business (https://verb.ltd) that promotes the growth of local talent, inspires individuals’ creativity, and pays a living wage while mastering a work-life balance. Beyond that, the actual structure and focus of the business I’m sure will grow and expand over the years.
